It's not just a museum; it's a pilgrimage site for those who believe in the power of music to unite, inspire, and transcend.
South of downtown in the Ohio City neighborhood, you’ll find the Neoclassical- and Byzantine-styled West Side Market, offering a sensory overload with its array of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and international cuisines, encapsulating the city's melting pot of cultures—and once you’re done admiring the edifice, included on the United States’ National Register of Historic Places, you’ll delight in its gourmet offerings!
Performing arts lovers must pop by downtown’s Playhouse Square for opera, theater, comedy, and dance productions.
Kiddos and nature enthusiasts of all ages will love the Greater Cleveland Aquarium on the banks of the Cuyahoga River downtown, as well as the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo & Rainforest south of downtown. The facility includes a gym, sauna, steam room, and private rooms.
For nightlife, start with Cocktails Cleveland for karaoke and weekend drag, with a basement-party feel. The club is celebrated for its welcoming environment and is a staple in the Cleveland lgbtq+Q+ community.
That being said, Cocktails has been around for years and many will tell you that it’s the best Gay Bar in Cleveland!

While Columbus may be the epicenter of the LGBTQ community in Ohio, Cleveland also has a lot to offer as well.
With a truly gay dive bar atmosphere, The Symposium is a welcoming and affirming place for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community. The space has been undergoing some remodeling recently as the basement has been closed. These events are known for their high energy, great music, and inclusive atmosphere, attracting a diverse crowd from the lgbtq+Q+ community and allies.
Cleveland makes an easy LGBTQ+ weekend because you can stay central, get around quickly, and mix big-city culture with neighborhood hangouts.
Summer also brings drag brunches, themed dance nights, and community fundraisers across town.
For most visitors, late May through early October is the sweet spot. Here, the Emerald Necklace beckons with its winding trails, serene lakes, and the enchanting Rocky River Reservation, offering a perfect escape into nature's embrace. Now, it’s a central part of the blossoming LGBTQ community that’s growing around the Lakewood neighborhood of Cleveland.
The entire development is being built to serve as a centerpoint for a new LGBTQ community.
